Are we really already getting notes home from the teacher? Luckily, the child that Sam bit didn't get the full version he gives his sisters (breaking the skin and bruising them), but I felt badly that he got a bite at all. Caroline was worried that her teachers wold find out about this. She also told Sam in the car that we "only do that at home". We've had a few talks about hurting people and biting, so I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Guess it is a good thing he isn't going to the school Halloween party as Dracula.

What do you call someone who runs a 5k with you AND gives you "extra" doughnuts?
Thanks Williams family for sharing :)

Tea Party

Caroline hosted a tea party for the girls in her class. She has made great friends each year, but this class has an exceptional group of girls. I feel really fortunate that Caroline has such sweet friends.
 they decorated sugar cookies
 drank "tea"
 added more frosting
 and sprinkles
 tasted along the way
 gave beautiful smiles
and had a wonderful morning

I've called the kids "snickerdoodles" since they got here. Sounds nicer than "brat" or "stinker". Here are some pictures that have been in the camera for a few days (a week or two maybe). Some are home, others are at a birthday party.

Just know that you will see this shirt on Sam a lot in the future. He loves his "tar" shirt and plays the air guitar on himself when he wears it...too much this boy of mine!

Love, love, love her sprinkles (freckles).

There aren't many of Emma Kate today. She told me not to take any of her and to leave her alone.  I have a lot of names for this little girl besides Snickerdoodle...but again, it sounds nicer.

 seriously love this one

Love me some him

Dear Sam,
We were supposed to go visit Doc and M this weekend, but your stomach bug kept us in town. Your Daddy and sisters went to do some tailgating, football watching, and visiting while we remained in town.  Although I missed them greatly, I want you to know how I've enjoyed every second with just you.  You are one neat kid!  You've snuggled with me, been excited about our trips to Walmart and the grocery store, told me you loved me a million times, giggled your sweet giggle all day, and been great company. I am so glad that I get to be your Mommy. You are kind, loving, and so very much fun! I could pinch myself when I think that out of all the mothers in the world you could have been given to, you were given to me!
Love you big,

A week in review

The kids are growing like weeds and just to prove it to you, I am going to show you pictures from last year (if you want even more proof, you can come help me organize the closets today and box up clothes that no longer fit). Caroline is sick with a stomach bug and I am pretty sure Sam is close behind, but what was interesting is when I pulled out pictures from this week last year, I had one of Caroline on the couch...sick! Here's hoping everyone in your house is well!
The kids at the park last week
 Caroline sick last year
Caroline (with Brayden) last year at the pumpkin patch
Emma Kate at the pumpkin patch last year
Sam at the pumpkin patch last year
slow down guys...this is going by too fast!

A Day in the Park

The kids and I met Amy and Luke at the park today. The weather was wonderful, the kids behaved nicely, and everyone played until they were exhausted! Thanks for joining us for the fun.
